Why Us?

KAFFAIN Sudanese American Organization for Peace & Development (KSAOPD) is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization, based in Cedar Rapids, IA.

KAFFAIN was formed by community of immigrants from Darfur, Sudan and its main purposes are to assist in building communities, to encourage dialogue among local communities and to resolve conflicts by calling for unity, peace and harmony among communities and others within the norms of Human right not only in Darfur but also in Sudan at large.

We are reaching out to donors, sponsors and volunteers to extend their hands and support us to provide access to clean potable water for the community, to assist every student to succeed in his/her education and to help families in need.

We aim to build a foundation for justice, sustainable development, and peace where  communities can thrive.

Our Vision

We envision a peaceful, empowered Sudan where communities are united, resilient, and self-sustaining, with equal opportunities for all, especially women and youth, to thrive in a society built on education, justice, and collaboration.
